Destitute

Watercolour on paper
My first 'brush' with watercolour! Because I did not know how to handle the medium well, I kept the painting dichromatic. Lesser colours to play with, the lesser chances of making a mistake somewhere, was the logic. The subject is a part of a much larger photograph that appeared in The Statesman quite some time back, along with an article on the plight of street children of Kolkata, the “City of Joy”.
